Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

The Rainbow Bridge
There's a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of it's many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge is a land of meadows, hills, and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet passes, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. Old and frail animals are made whole. They play all day with each other. There is only one thing missing. They are not with that special person who loved them so much on earth. But the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together for eternity... -Anonymous

Nichole was the love of my life. She was my very first rescue years ago. She was 6 months old and had been abused. Locked in a bathroom as a puppy and beaten when she soiled in there. She was very afraid of men for the most part of her life. Nichole loved to play basketball and go for car rides. She loved romping in the snow. Nichole suffered several mini strokes which left her head tilted. She started loosing bladder control when she slept. Then her stomach started to bloat. She was 12 at the time. For the next year she was hand fed very small meals and kept on meds to keep her stomach relaxed. Nichole was playing basketball one afternoon. Later that evening she had her meal fed to her and about an hr later she bloated again. After her third time bloating at 13yrs we decided that the best thing we could do for her was to let her go. Her vet felt that she would not make it through surgery to tack her stomach. Nichole is still very much missed. And the reason WolfSpirit's started. To be there for all the others that were abused. I miss you Nichole January 1977 --- August 1990

We miss you little one. Fly like the wind pain free now.

Mack was from a puppymill in IL. Robin from WolfSpirit's drove him to Ohio and then onto PA to another place along with a few other poodles. Kathy cleaned them up and got all their vet work done. Mack found a home. I remember when Mack was at my foster Mom's house. He didn't look too good and had a hard time walking. But boy could he find the food. I kept thinking what is my foster Mom going to do with all those new dogs here but she assured me they were all leaving the next day. Then a few months later my foster Mom told me that some lady wanted me to live with her. I would be very far away but would still be here in her heart. I wasn't too sure at first. My new Mom and Dad drove to Ohio to pick me up and who do you think they brought with them? Mack! We grumped at each other at times. But I really didn't mind sharing Mom too much with him. We had a few months together and then Mack got really sick and passed away February 9th 2003 in Mom's arms. Mom was really very sad and I tried my best to cheer her up. I know she still misses him and in a way so do I. Mack you are still loved and remembered here. I know we will all be together as a family again some day.

Love Tobi
