I'm the founder of WolfSpirit's. Started rescue many many years ago because of my girls. Who are now older and out on their own. We started out just word of mouth while the girls were in school. One litter after another they brought home. Years later, I joined another rescue online to "learn the ropes". I learned a lot. Adopted a puppymill Yorkie in 1999 and have been involved in puppymill rescue since then. I have two girls, one son, one grandson and one graddaughter. Married to a very patient man, Jim, who wants to keep every dog that comes into our home. I like sewing, woodcrafts and gardening when I have the extra time.

NY Foster Home
My husband and I live in Whitney Point, NY. We are owned by 10 dogs. I have been in rescue for over 35 years, helping with Giant breeds to Toys. Have attended several seminars in dog behavior and training. Enjoy learning and using homeopathic methods of healing as well as conventional. Been published as a contributor in “Chicken Soup for a Dog Lovers Soul” and “Happy Tails”.
Taking on a puppy mill survivor and watching them develop into good citizens and loving life after the mill is probably one of the most rewarding tasks we have taken on.

Richard
live in Whitney Point, NY. I have been a pharmacist for twenty five years. Since my wife has adopted from and now fosters for WolfSpirit's, I guess I do too. We turned our new van into a "dog" van to transport dogs where they need to go. but, being the chauffeur is not such a bad job, I get to listen to whatever I want and eat for hours. Rescue is great work.

I helped start WolfSpirit's when I was younger. We rescued many different animals back then. I brought home chickens and ducks one day and thought I would get shot. Even though I do not live at home anymore I help out by making crafts and going on transports when I can. I organized the Reunion for 2007 and plan to help out with organizing the next one. I'm a full time mom of three wild kids. I have one fur-kid named Rascal who lives up to his name. He favors my husband which spoils him rotten. My husband's name is Henry who also is along for the ride when ever anything is needed for the animals or kids.

I'm a widow who lives in Green, Ohio with a spoiled little Chi. I'm retired from American Electric Power. I help out with WolfSpirit's by keeping the mailing list up to date, preparing the monthly newsletter and I do some vet checks. I met Robin while volunteering at Mercy Hospital and, in talking to her, got interested in what this group does, so I went to the website and here I am....involved! I've always had a special place in my heart for dogs. I have three kids, two female, one male. Seven grandkids and four great grandkids. I also make candles as a hobby.

I think there's a sign at the end of my driveway that only animals can read that says, "Homeless? Elderly? Sickly? Pregnant? Don't trust people? There's a sucker just ahead. She has the money and time to spoil you rotten. Come on in - none are refused."
Life without doggies is not a life.
Faith and Brett Zimmerman
MN Volunteer
Hello, my name is Faith Zimmerman and I am married and I live in St. Michael Minnesota with my husband Brett. I started volunteering with WolfSpirits after adopting Tango and Cha Cha from them a few years ago. I was so grateful for all of their hard work and devotion to animals that I decided to volunteer with them too. So I fostered Max and Ruby (and failed ultimately adopting them) and then failed again fostering Pinky (and adopted her too). I love to help both dogs and cats in need and in addition to our little chihuahua herd we have two persian cats named Maddy and Abbey. I love being part of WolfSpirits and am so happy to know all the wonderful people in this group.

OH Volunteer/Foster Home
I live in Massillon, OH, which is about 60 miles south of Cleveland. I am retired after working in the corporate world for over 40 years. I have been involved with Wolfspirit's Rescue for some time, dating back to the craft show at Dogwood Park several years ago. At the time, I called myself a "Tag-A-Long" following along if or when needed. Officially, I became a member in 2005. I have 3 married daughters, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, plus Abby, my terminally shy rescue who is a mini schnauzer. My hobbies are sewing and cooking, and especially family get-togethers.

Aimee Churchel
PA / Volunteer
I live in Latrobe, PA on almost just about 6 acres and share my home with a doberman, maltese, chi, papillion, toy poodle, pekingese, 3 kitties and my partner Mark. We also have a 4lb. sanctuary maltese and at any time 1-2 fosters. I am a board member for Distinguished Doberman Rescue, and thru that rescue, I am able to pull, foster and place LOTS of little dogs. Many come from high kill shelters in the south, some from breeder release and a few from individuals who can longer keep their pets due to life circumstances.
I've been involved in rescue for over 25 years and I am passionate about it. I am a realtor, and just recently finished school for dog grooming. My partner is a contractor and he is currently building a grooming shop for me which is attached to my home. What better way to spend the day than with dogs? Wolfspirit is a wonderful group, with a wealth of experienced and caring volunteers. I am thrilled WS is expanding volunteers to PA and so thankful I can be a part of such a great group.

NY Volunteer/Trainer
Since I can remember my mom always had animals ranging from a pet rat to a 2,400 lb pet bull named Junior. It wasn't until I rescued a blind Aussie that I fell in love with an animal that I personally rescued. I raised him, loved him and felt lost without him when he died. Not too long ago my husband Joey and I purchased a Golden Retriever but I had this longing to have another dog (being raised with at least 5 dogs all the time in the house) so I looked into rescues and fell in love with English Shepherds (which mom had as working dogs). Contacted ESR we adopted Bristol and went right to work in obedience and agility. After accomplishing this within a short time Robin went to an auction and bought two ES's (sisters) who were on their way to mill or worse. I fostered both of them. One, Phoenix (now, Princess Lizzie) was adopted by our little five year old Emily (who just recently passed away from cancer). Because of Emily I am keeping the sister and going to train her for many tasks including going into children's hospitals. I have dedicated "Tally" to this in honor of Emily's memory.
I am 30 yrs old, married and though I graduated with a degree in paralegal, I decided children needed me more, so I am now a pre-school teacher.
Shirley and Marhall Searles
OH Foster Home
Marshall and I live in Ohio and foster for Robin for the past 2 yrs. Our home accommodates
then needs of the dogs. We count it a privilege to care for God's creatures 1st and rescue
2nd and our own desire to keep each dog 3rd. It's a special privilege to see the dogs we get
in from the mills or other neglectful situations that blossom and become a greyt pet. Our
children, who are grown and have children, all help us when they can with our rescue. We
started in 2002 fostering for Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation and United Yorkie
Rescue. The local pound is 20 mins from our house so in the off times I started visiting there
and listing dogs for rescue groups on yahoo. That led in to pulling/transport/fostering, which
we still do phasing into our own "Least of These Dog Rescue" using Mathew 25:40,45 as
our basis for focusing on dogs that no one else wants. I am also on the board of United For
Animal Justice (a non militant animal group to assist our local pound become a haven for
the dogs there) Desiring to help all dogs that come our way we can only hope that the multi
facets of rescue don't overlap here and love to say yes when asked for help. Hating it when
we have to say no.
We have had many different small breeds in our
home(poodle,jrt,maltese,shihtzu,ig,yorkie,cocker,llaso,spitz,westie,bichon)and a couple
bigger breeds (one being now a therapy oversized very gentle sheltie we pulled from the
pound). There hasn't been a dog here that we haven't loved and deemed a keeper. I take a
personal interest in training each dog (having trained my own dog as a child of 7 yrs of age)
and training people to keep their pets.
Our own pets include a 10 yr old exracer Heidi. She was instrument in helping me get over a
fear of dogs from a dog bite years ago. We were instrumental in her fear of people. Also here
is Cassie, a clown of an IG. She will be 10 soon also. Both have been here for 8+yrs.

NY Volunteer/Foster Home
I have been involved with rescue for about 4 years now and my only regret is that I didn't get involved sooner. Our family consists of myself and my daughter Maxx, who is my right hand and a passionate young rescuer. Then there are 7 pooches, all rescued except for Gertrude, a minpin/chi mix. Along with, Pixie, a tiny senior chi/pap mix, Baby Hugh, a wee little wawa, Junie B, another wee naughty wawa, Kevin, a strudy, sweet and gentle chiwawa man, Teddy, an oversized nut papillon and George the beagle and the escape artist. We also have 3 cats, who have all found us, Buster, Mia and Clifford. I also have an older daughter Quinn, who is living on her own and planning her wedding. She also has the rescue bug and has 2 foundling cats and an adopted wawa. We live in a village outside of Syracuse, NY and I am lucky enough to work from home as a hairdresser so holding down the fort of critters is fairly easy. I also run a little vintage junk and antique business out of my barn in the summer months called Never Enuff Stuff. We always have a house full of fosters, along with our own, usually chihuahuas, as they are my passion. I joined WolfSpirit's Rescue this year as a way to help and work with the mill dogs. In my spare time, when not cleaning, lol, I enjoy reading, especially a good Ann River Siddons book, rearranging the furniture, and shuffling around my endless collections of stuff.

I'm an RN, located in northern KY just a little south of Cincinnati OH, married with two grown daughters and one granddaughter. I'm also mom to our pomeranian Lily and our adopted papillon Bridgette from Wolfspirit's Rescue. We found Bridgette on the Wolfspirit's website last year and adopted our newest "daughter" in May. She and her "sister" Lily get along like they've been together all their lives. After becoming aware of the horrific situation these dogs face, I wanted to help in any way I could. I work full time for University Hospital in Cincinnati and wasn't able to foster, so I assist w/ fundraising and donations to the group. We also assist w/ transporting dogs to get them to their various locations on weekends when extra transporters are needed. My husband is retired police officer and is currently completing a course to be a certified paralegal. He should graduate from the program this summer and will be back to working full time again. I enjoy needlework, reading and spending time with family. I'm pretty much a homebody when I get the chance. I love to come home to my little fur kids....they are always so happy to see me and they give me so much joy. Karen Rush
