April 2010
Naomi has been making great progress. She likes to sit next to me and get petted and scratched. She will run if she thinks I'm going to pick her up. She can only be adopted by someone who is willing to wait months to touch her ( it's worth the wait!) She will let me hold her, but much prefers to just sit next to me. She loves racing around the yard and taking sun baths.
March 2010
Naomi is slowly but surely turning into a pet. She now regularly hangs out with me on the couch. She enjoys scratches and rubs. She allows me to hold her, but prefers to just be next to me. I still have to corner her to pick her up (unless she's on the couch), but she has shown tremendous improvement since June. She has the cutest underbite that makes her look a little like a tiny Bulldog.
Naomi loves being outside running with her pals, lying in the sun and zooming around the house playing chase with Emmalou. She MUST have a fenced yard and a playful doggie pal. She ignores my small grandkids and would do well with older kids who didn't expect a playmate. When Naomi is in the mood for popcorn, she jumps on her foster dad's chair and barks at him until he fulfills her wishes. While Naomi and Bunny are great pals, I no longer believe they must be kept together. They no longer rely on each other and have made other friends. Naomi deserves her own mom and dad

Naomi AKA Poopsie made the fatal mistake of coming in the bathroom and walking past me. I shut the door and trapped her. I held out my hand, she sniffed it and I picked her up. There was no screaming and crying, biting or bleeding-by either of us!! She let me holf her for a few minutes.
10/09
Naomi is a happy little soul. She really enjoys playing with the other dogs and especially likes being outside. She enjoys eating and getting treats. She likes stealing small items like socks and dragging them around. She doesn't play with toys though. Naomi does not allow anyone to pick her up or pet her. She is not adoptable at this point. Her best friend is bunny.

Naomi-oh what an interesting girl. She is bonded with Bunny. Where Bunny is calm and quiet, Naomi is yappy and excitable. Bunny allows me to pick her up, Naomi fights me. Bunny never barks, Naomi barks when a mouse farts 100 yards away. Naomi, I believe, will never be a pet. She depends on Bunny and Bunny depends on her. She likes to steal socks and paper and oh, just about anything she can get her mouth on! She loves to shred paper, but only drags around other things.
7/09 Naomi is a fear biter, not good with kids. Naomi is not ready for adoption. She enjoys her new home and really likes her new pal Bunny. She likes trotting around the yard and lounging in the sun. Naomi must be cornered to be caught. In her previous foster that she was at for over a year she did come to you and would sit on your lap and give kisses. She was very afraid of men. So hopefully with time in her new foster home she will settle down and be a sweet little girl again.
5/09 Naomi has improved some, she will run around to see what is going on when she is loose. She still hides behind the furniture but not as much. She does wear a diaper, she is not housetrained, is too scared to go outside. She seems to like the other dogs, doesn't seem to be scared of them. Would probably do well with another little dog her size. Is terrified of men, she will snap if my husband tries to pet her. She is a cute little girl who needs a very calm home with a women, someone with alot of patience.
1/09 Naanaa is getting a little bit better and is enjoying life a little bit more each day. She is braver with the other dogs and will stay out in the room where everyone can see her more and more, instead of hiding behind the furniture. Does give us kisses and lets me and my daughter love on her. She will wiggle and cry when she sees us in the morning. Still working on housetraining. <P>Naomi is just not ready for adoption. She has days where she is just terrified of everyone and suffers severe anxiety. Her main goal is to get away from people and she will nip at those in her way.
Naomi is so young yet has been so tramatized from living in a mill. This is what can happen when puppies are not socialized when they are young. Everything terrifies them. Some come around and then others will never actually trust any human.
7/18/08 Naomi has made much progress, she is very loving with us most of the time, but all she needs is something to scare her and she is terrified and trys to run away. She is also doing much better walking around the house, hides for awhile behind the furniture and then will come out to see everyone. Does better with women, is scared of men.
9/23/08 Naomi is still scared of any new thing, she will run when frightened. She is looking for that special person to show her life can be good, a calm house with not much going on.
Naomi was a rescue from the Dec. 07'dog auction. She is very shy, timid and needs a very patient person to help her get over her fears. It has taken a few weeks now but she is now letting me pick her up and cuddle her, she will run up to my fingers to give me a quick kiss. She startles easily, jumps with loud noises and fast movement. Due to her fear issues a home with no children and a calm kind people and a securly fenced yard a must. Looking for a person with Chihuahua experience. She is not housetrained, working on paper training. She was very thin when she first came into rescue, is slowly gaining weight.
