Sept.2009
Shilo is still very timid, not much progress since May. He likes to hang out with the other dogs, enjoys going outside to enjoy the sun.

July 2009
Shilo is about the same. Likes other dogs and cats, he is still very timid when you try to pick him up or take him outside. He will stay in the yard with the other dogs, they usually go potty and go to the deck and hang out. Eats good, no skin or ear problems. Kids don't seem to bother him. He is a barker.

May 09
Shilo is totally vetted and had 11 teeth removed with his dental. He is UTD on all vaccines. He does go outside potty but does need a bellyband in the house for marking. He is still afraid and nervous. Is very good with other dogs. Working on leash training. He needs alot of attention, he is very timid. Shilo needs someone with patience to give him the TLC that he deserves.

Feb 09
Shilo is still very frightened of people. He was doing pretty well with his foster family and starting to do things that dogs normally do but has had a little backslide in his temporary foster home. He's not sure of what is going on and on the look out for anyone that comes near him. When they do he is off in a flash. He can't wait to get back to his other foster parents so that he can feel more comfortable.

Nov. 08
Shilo is doing better, he comes to my husband and myself when we have him on the bed with us when we call him. He will also play a bit now. He seems to get very excited when placed outside in the pen with the other dogs. He runs around and kicks up his feet. He is partial to our Yorkie, he always rubs up against him the most. He always goes to the bathroom outside. We put a belly band on him when he is roaming free inside. I try to watch him a lot, and if I think he is going to lift his leg, I yell his name and he will stop. He still goes to the back of the crate when you go to take him out, but once he is out, he is fine. He has become vocal over the last couple of weeks. He barks if he hears someone at the door. and if he wants your attention outside when he is in the pen, he will speak. He also likes our cats, he will follow them around and sniff at them. He has never snapped or growled at any of us. He seems to be fine around my 12 year old son. He needs someone who is willing to give him a lot of attention and TLC, and he will come around

9/23/08 Shilo is still very timid, loves to be outside. Is very good with all the other dogs. Looking for a quiet calm home.

7/18/08 Shilo has been with us for awhile and can now go into the fenced in area and be loose, does not need to be in an x-pen outside anymore. He is a very quiet laid back boy who just plants it on the floor so he can watch everyone. He is still easily startled but settles down quickly. He has also lost some weight and his coat is so full and fluffy now, a very handsome guy.

5/08 Shilo has shown some improvement but is still easily startled. He must use a x-pen outside or you can't catch him so a secured fenced yard a must! He seems to get along with the other dogs. Will need much TLC.

Shilo is a rescue from the last dog auction, Dec 15th, 07. He is very shy and will need a Chihuahua experienced person to show him how to be a house dog. He will snap when approached to be picked up, if startled. He is easily startled by loud noises and fast movement. Would do best with no children and calm kind people. He is a very handsome boy who likes to buddy around with the other Chi's from the auction.

Is not housetrained and must wear a bellyband so he doesn't mark.

A securly fenced in yard a must.

Adoption $150
